Hello everyone, and welcome back to the channel! In today’s WordPress tutorial, we’re going to show you how to seamlessly integrate a WhatsApp chat widget into your website, even if you’re not a tech expert. Having a WhatsApp chat option is a great way to enhance customer interaction and boost sales for your services or e-commerce website. Follow along as our co-host, Nida Shaikh guides you through the process step by step.
Step 1: Install the Plugin
The first step in adding WhatsApp chat to your WordPress website is to install a plugin. Navigate to the ‘Plugins’ section on the left side of your WordPress dashboard and click ‘Add New.’ In the search bar, type ‘WhatsApp’ and look for the ‘Click to Chat’ plugin. Install and activate it to get started.
Step 2: Configure Plugin Settings
Once the plugin is activated, click on ‘Settings’ from the left side menu. Here, you can select your country code and enter the WhatsApp number to which you want messages to be sent. Additionally, set a pre-filled message that will appear whenever someone initiates a chat. Customize the call to action widget as per your preference.
Step 3: Style Options for Desktop and Mobile
The ‘Click to Chat’ plugin provides styling options for both desktop and mobile. Nida demonstrates in the tutorial how to choose different styles, positions, and display settings. You can experiment with these settings to find the look that suits your website the best.
Step 4: Save Changes and Preview
After configuring the plugin settings, don’t forget to click ‘Save Changes.’ Now, open a page on your website to see how the WhatsApp chat widget looks. Nida shows how changing the styles reflects on the website, allowing you to choose the one that fits your design seamlessly.
Step 5: Test and Optimize
To ensure everything is working smoothly, click on the WhatsApp chat widget to initiate a chat. Confirm that the pre-filled message appears as expected. If necessary, go back to the plugin settings to make further adjustments based on your preferences.
